You want to use weapons that already have inherent Lightning damage, as they will benefit the most from infusion and ring scaling. Defender's Greatsword. Drakeblood Greatsword. Mace of the Insolent. Heide Knight Sword. Heide Knight Spear. Heide Knight Lance. Dragonslayer's Crescent Axe. The meat cleaver is traditionally buffed with Light Weapon cast with the Insanity Catalyst, especially for PvP. That is probably it’s biggest advantage over similar strength weapons.
