I am new to the Uniden SDS100 and SDS200. I have one of each; the 100 for the truck and the 200 with a mast-mounted Discone for beside my chair. I am completely ignorant to the proper use of quick keys and the best strategy for using favorites lists to my advantage.Go to Maxims One Drive where he has all firmware version and go to the SDS100 folder. Download the file "SDS-100_V1_10_00.bin" and "SDS-100_SUB_V1._02_01.firm" and put those files on the SD card in the firmware folder. Last year, just under one year into the warranty, my wife started her car while the scanner was plugged into the car for power. It shut down and would not power back on. The SDS100 is silent. When I stop the SDS100 on the exact same frequency that the TRX-1 is decoding, programmed as a DMR freq., it doesn't even make a hit on the signal bar. I can't imagine the TRX-1 is that much more sensitive on DMR than the SDS100. Both fully charged and locked onto one TG, the G5 lasted 20.5 hours, while the SDS lasted 8 hours. G5 screen timeout set to 45 seconds and SDS100 set to 10 seconds. If you have a smartphone or other USB device charger you can use it if you don’t want to use the charger that came with the radio. In the car you can use any USB port to power/charge the radio. If this test still has the "Low Voltage" problem then try using the Mini-USB cable and power USB power supply that came with the SDS100 (without the GPS). If that works, then there may be a problem with the Uniden BC-UTGC cable. If this test still has the problem then there may be something wrong with the SDS100 itself.One can get ostracized quickly with the audio from a SDS100. People tend to shy away. There were some users that were seeing the keypad lock on the SDS100 actually functioning through the Sentinel software in the early versions.
